Janet Marlene Doss Busby, 88, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 9, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Mickey Adams officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be at Parkhill Cemetery.

Janet was born November 23, 1932 in Bluefield, WV to the late James Bradley and Trilby Adelene Pauley Doss. She worked in sales for 26 years at Liberty National Insurance. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Hugh Franklin Busby of Columbus, GA, children, Pamela Jo Pidgeon (Wesley) of Seneca, SC, Deborah Jean Thomas (David) of West Union, SC, Bradley Eugene McReynolds (Lisa) of Newark, OH, step-children, Dean Smart (Doug) of Acworth, GA, James F. Busby (Ellen) of Anderson, SC, grandchildren, Howard Neal “Trey” Downey (Christa), Kerri Bernhardt (Nate), Patrick Ryan McReynolds (Elizabeth), Jamie L Thomas, step-grandchildren, Nicholas Thompson, Christopher Doyle, Joshua Busby, Linzi Busby, Greg Busby, Christina Larson, Angie Langston, great-grandchildren, Jordan, Belle, Eli, Ellington, Mason, Carter, Brooke, Casey, Abigail, step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hammond, Justin Woodall, Joseph Larson, Sierra Ferrell, Julia Towns, step-great-grandchildren, Bryce Sanders, Jayce Sanders, Jayden Ferrell, Brayden Jordan, Genny Wootson, Roman Wootson.
