James Henry Flowers, 81, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Rivertowne Center.
The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
James was born January 5, 1940 in Bluefield, VA to the late Lewis Henry Flowers and Aurelia Elizabeth Chittum Flowers. He worked at Rutledge State Prison as a prison guard and served in the United States Army. He loved to go fishing, ride motorcycles, watch T.V. and spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Tilley Flowers of Columbus, GA, daughters, Teresa Flowers Davis of Columbus, GA, Cindy Blankenship (Ken) of Columbus, GA, brother, Charles Flowers (Barbara) of Kentucky, grandchildren; Heather Nobles (Sam) of Phenix City, AL, Michael Lepko (Jessica) of Marianna, FL, Stevie Dunn (Geoff) of Columbus, GA, Liz Riles(Josh) of Phenix City, AL, Jennifer Thomas (Brandon) of Cedartown, GA, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
