Irene G. Oakley, 69, of Columbus, GA died Monday, November 22, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 28, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Chaplain Allison Owen officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Main Post Cemetery.
Irene was born January 27, 1952 in Germany to the late Johann Bohler and Gertrude Bohler. She worked in real estate for over 25 years in the Columbus community. She loved to dance and enjoyed going to the VFW. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Oakley and daughter. Patricia Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Hicks (Gordon), sister, Sonja Bohler, brother, Edwin Bohler, granddaughter, Savanna York (Trevor), great-grandchildren, Leon York, Lyla York and many other family members and friends.
