Earline Flowers Albritton

Earline Flowers Albritton, 91, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Muscogee Manor.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, October 21, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Paul Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.

Mrs. Albritton was born February 18, 1931 in Pelham, GA to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Barton Flowers. She retired from Swift Spinning Mills. Mrs. Albritton was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God. She accompanied her husband for 40 years as he spoke at churches in Columbus and the surrounding area representing the Gideons International, distributing hundreds of Bibles and sharing their testimony.  Mrs. Albritton was also a member of the Gideons Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Albritton loved cooking and serving delicious meals for family, friends and church events. Her recipes were so popular that she compiled a book of her favorite’s to share with family and friends. She also loved gardening, sewing and fishing.

Other than her parents Mrs. Albritton was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Hinton Phalem Albritton, son, David Hinton Albritton, sisters, Vera Melvin, Audra Buchanan and brother, Clifford Flowers.

She is survived by her twin sister, Alene Sellers, brother, James “Jake” L. Flowers (Christine), her daughter, Wanda Darlene Dean (Danny), son, Dennis Hollis Albritton, daughter-in-law, Kathy Albritton, grandchildren, Shana Young, Shelley Brown (Lucas), Ashley Pezold (John), Lindsey Sheldon (Wes), Bryce Albritton, great-grandchildren, Parker and Camryn Young, Eleanor, Jack, and Hamilton Pezold, Charlotte and Gaines Sheldon and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Albritton leaves behind many people who loved her including all the kind caregivers and many members of her church.
