Dorothy Juanita Scott, 90, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, August 03, 2020 at Riverdale Cemetery with Rev. Mike McBride officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, those attending the graveside service will be required to wear a face mask and social distancing will be in effect.
Dorothy was born October 17, 1929 in Red Hill, GA to the late Hoke Smith Walters and Levis Juanita Brown Walters. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Garnet Stout Scott and several of her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah S. Duenas (Joe), sons, Richard Francis Scott of St. Francisville, LA, Garnett Stephen Scott (Bonnie) of Blairsville, GA, Ronnie Keith Scott (Kathryn) of Marietta, GA, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sister, Faye Evelyn Kinney (Johnny) of Smiths, AL, and brother-in-law, Billy Scott (Hisako) of Columbus, GA.
