Chris was born September 21, 1969 in Atlanta, GA son of Shirley Norman Alakamovitch and the late Waistel Norman. Chris loved his family and friends and lived his life to the fullest. He loved to spend time at the lake, pool and his shop. He was a member of Cascade Hills Church. There was never a challenge or dare he wouldn't accept. He devoted his life to public service, first as serving as a paramedic for 25 years as well as protecting us for 18 years as a Senior Trooper with Georgia State Patrol. He was always humble about his service and any praise he received.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Norman, children, Stephen Norman, Lucas Higgenbotham and Derek Higgenbotham. His mother, Shirley Alakamovitch (Jon), sister, Tonya McLemore (John), step-brother, Michael Alakamovitch (Courtney), nieces, Brooke Trevathan (Brian), Bailey McLemore, nephews, John McLemore II, Wyatt and Will Alakamovitch and great-nephews, Whit and Walt Trevathan. He was a Diddy to Josh Crim and Schley Culpepper and he adored his G-babies Jamison Crim and Merritt Crim. He loved his many friends who he felt were more like brothers. That was never more evident than in his final days as they gathered around to love, laugh, and sneak him Natty Light.
