Charles Milton Davis

Charles Milton Davis, 75, of Columbus, GA, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Piedmont Midtown Hospital.

A visitation will be held 12:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 5, 2022 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31909. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery on Saturday, August 6, 2022.

Charles was born on September 15, 1946 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida to the late Louis A. Davis and Blanche Gaines Davis.  Charles attended and graduated from Columbus High School graduating with the class of 1964. Upon graduation, he entered the U.S. Army where he served in the Signal Corps while in Vietnam. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, he returned to Columbus. His work took him to Treasure Island, Florida as a chef in the food industry for a number of years before returning to Columbus. Charles passed away from complications of COPD and Covid.

He is survived by a sister, Linda D. Pharaoh and husband, Kent, of Henryetta, Oklahoma, two nieces, Jeni (Pharaoh) Zimmer and husband, Matt, of Kansas City, MO; Cheryl (Pharaoh) Riggs and husband, John, of Byers, TX, nephew, Brian K. Pharaoh and wife, Stephanie, of Hoschton, GA, great-nieces and nephews, Christen Spencer, Madelyn Riggs, Carissa Nohrenberg, Wesston Riggs, Caleb Zimmer, Justin Riggs, Oliver Pharaoh and very special caregivers, Donnie and Cindy Shavers from the Assembly of God Church. The family wishes to thank Rose and Les Smith, lifelong neighbors, for their love and support.
