Betty Jo Taverner, 79, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Brookside Glen Assisted Living.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 18, 2020 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 face coverings and social distancing will be required during the memorial service.
Betty was born September 29, 1941 in Kansas to the late Fred and Mamie Snow. She was an office manager in the medical field. She was a Baptist and loved travel and dogs. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Taverner and brother, Gary Snow.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana Roberts of Georgia, son, Greg Taverner of California, sisters, Shirley Mitchell of Indiana, Billie Snow of Texas, brother, Bob Snow (Joan) of Oklahoma, grandchildren, Derik Roberts (Kristin) of Georgia, Ashley Ballew (Michael) of Georgia, great-grandchildren, Joey Roberts, Ruthie Roberts, brother-in-law, Don Taverner (Sherlene) of Missouri, sister-in-law, Jean Taverner of Kansas, several nieces and nephews.
