Zina Laurette Rogers, 46, of Columbus, GA died of Columbus, GA died Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike McBride and Reverend Jean Shumate officiating. Interment will follow at Oakhill Cemetery in Waverly Hall, GA. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 PM according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Ms. Rogers was born December 14, 1962 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Paul Jimmy Rogers and Annie Laurie Rogers. She was a registered nurse in the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit at the Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Elliott.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy Elvis Hutto and Joseph Paul Rogers both of Columbus, GA, her sisters, Latrelle Drover (Michael) of Ellerslie, GA, Samantha Martin of Ellerslie, GA, and Robin Burt (Michael) of Fortson, GA, and nieces and nephews, Lauryl Murray, Jed Murray, Dana Martin, and Kyle Burt.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to American Cancer Society for Ovarion Cancer 233 12th St. Columbus, GA 31901 or The National Kidney Foundation 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
