Zeno C. Utt, 80, of Midland, GA died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Vista Care at Franciscan Woods.
A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Bethesda Baptist Church HWY 85 Ellerslie, GA 31807 with Reverend David Helms officiating. The family will receive friends after the memorial service according to the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Utt was born July 26, 1930 in Ararat, VA son of the late Henry C. and Berdie A. Sechrist Utt. He served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was the Sanitation Systems Chief Operator for 27 years at Disney World in Orlando, FL. He was a member of the American Legion and the Air Force Sergeant's Association and Bethesda Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen C. Utt and his brother, Clifton F. Utt.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Palmer Utt of Midland, GA, daughters, Linda R. Mackey (Dave) of Orlando, FL and Karen M. Abraham (Jim) of Midland, GA, brothers, Conrad G. Utt of Ararat, VA, Bruce H. Utt of Ararat, VA and Wilbur D. Utt of Bassett, VA, sister, Alma R. Sueme of St. Louis, MO, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Bethesda Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer's Association 5900 River Rd. Suite 301 Columbus, GA 31904.
