Yvonne Marie (Brazie) Johnson

Yvonne Marie Brazie Johnson, 87, of Columbus GA passed into eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 11, 2023. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

She is now reunited with her first-born child, Scott Allen who passed away when he was 7 days old.  Yvonne was born February 15, 1936 in International Falls, MN daughter of the late Robert and Helen Moorman. She was a graduate of International Falls High School in Minnesota and LaSalle Extension University with a diploma in Interior Decorating.   She had her own business Interiors by Yvonne.  She was retired from United City Gas Company where she excelled, received many accolades, and starred in one of their commercials on TV.

Yvonne was a devout Christian and a member of Pinehurst Baptist church in Columbus GA.  She had the gift of giving and helping people by giving out blankets, food and gifts to those in need.  She was a member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for her neighborhood.  Yvonne was also a volunteer for the Columbus Sheriff department.  She enjoyed bowling, roller skating, crafts, and spending time with her family.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her ex-husband of 46 years Duane Brazie, sister Pat Lagoo, brother Robert Moorman sister Carla Thomasson and brother Norman Maurstad, her late husband, William Johnson of Columbus who she married in 1998.

Yvonne is survived by her children Daniel Brazie (Cheryl) of Gulf Shores, AL, Kimarie Fabian (Richard) of Paxinos, PA, Todd Brazie  (Jo) of Columbus GA, Rob Brazie (Lori) of Columbus GA and Mark Brazie of Columbus GA.  Special thanks to special and faithful Laila Fletcher who sang and prayed for her every week.

She was also survived by her grandchildren Chad, Tara, Robbie, Jordan, Danielle, Duane, Justin, Gage, Josh, and Gracie.  Great Grandchildren Mikalah, Bella, Maddie, Andrew, Haleigh, Caroline, Charlotte, Kenna, Kayda, Kyra, Wyatt, Clara, Logan, Owen, Quinn, Lindsey and Jalen.
