Winnie Lucille Gallops, 87, of Phenix City, AL died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Lipp officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Gallops was born April 18, 1927 in Centerville, MS daughter of the late Willie Jones and Opal Coke Whetstone. She was a homemaker.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Gallops.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra L. Wynn (Freddie) of Phenix City, AL; sons, Walter L. Gallops of Smiths, AL and Gerald L. Thomas of Phenix City, AL; four grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make contributions to Salvation Army, 5201 Warm Springs Road Columbus, GA.
