Wilma Jean Evans, 82, of Columbus, GA, died Monday, February 16, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. John Rigby officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Evans was born October 5, 1932 in Wasau, FL, daughter of the late William Lonnie Parker and Dora Martin Parker. She worked for Sunshine Biscuit Company for 27 years and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Evans; son, Dennis Robley Evans and 3 sisters, Virginia Baker, Lueverne Brubaker, and Betty Farmer.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah D. Garner of Columbus, GA; son, Keith Dwayne Evans (Peggy) of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Anna Cannon (Jeff), LeighAnne Jordan (Chris), Evan Garner (Mandy), Whitney Evans, and Allyson Evans; great-grandchildren, Robert Ian Jordan, Lily Jordan, Emma Grace Hinson, Parker Caydance Hinson, Akira Garner, Trinity Garner, and Callie Cannon.
