Willis Troy "WT" Johnson, 78, of Phenix City, AL died Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Parkwood Healthcare Facility.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Dee Williams, Trey Williams, Bill Phelps, Tommy Williams, Jimbo Williams, Tommy Miles, Fred Lewis, Lee Railey, and Wayne Robinson. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
WT was born July 23, 1940 in Pitts, GA son of the late Abram Perry Johnson and Vera Faustine Wright Johnson. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1959 and retired from Motors Acceptance Corp. He then worked part time at Columbus Fire and Safety. WT was a member of Beallwood Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and also served on many committees.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Judy Ann Johnson and his brother, Edward Lee Johnson.
Survivors include his son, Todd Johnson (Marcia) of Newnan, GA, daughters, Michelle Morrison of Phenix City, AL (her former husband, Mark Morrison of Columbus, GA) and Tonia Williams (Dee) of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, Amanda Morrison Collins of Phenix City, AL, Alexis Johnson of Newnan, GA, Trey Williams and Alexis Williams both of Phenix City, AL, great-grandchild, Stella Collins of Phenix City, AL, many nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Doris Sanders.
