Willie W. Green, 88, of Phenix City, AL died Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Parkwood Nursing Facility in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM CST Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Zebulon Baptist Church in Troy, AL with Reverend Grant Parker officiating. Interment will be held at Sandfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the church according to Colonial Funeral Home 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL 36867.
Mrs. Green was born June 7, 1923 in Pike County, AL daughter of the late J. T. Welch and Mary Nancy McLendon Welch. She worked as a weaver for Fieldcrest Mills.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nulan H. Green, son, Curtis Green, three brothers, and three sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanette Clay of Salem, AL, son, Louis Green of Phenix City, AL, sisters, Alvie Hutto (Hubert) of Andalusia, AL and Lizzie Smith of Andalusia, AL, nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
