William "Gene" Eugene Ogan

William “Gene” Eugene Ogan, Sr., 73, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Piedmont Northside Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 4, 2020 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. David Hardwick officiating. The family will receive friend from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, face coverings and social distancing will be required during the funeral service and visitation.

Gene was born March 3, 1947 in Rutledge, TN to the late Pauline Kidwell Dalton. He was the Lead Maintenance Man for Columbus Foundry. He loved to farm and to tend to his cattle in the country. Other than his mother he is preceded in death by his step-father, Colbia Dalton, Sr. brothers, John Ogan and George Ogan.

He is survived by his wife Ann Ogan of Columbus, GA, daughter, Michele Ogan of Columbus, GA, son, Bill Ogan (Jamie Rourk) of Juniper, GA, step-daughter, Rama Collier of Juniper, GA, grandchildren, Lance Weaver of Mauk, GA, Trace Weaver of Mauk, GA, Savannah Rourk of Juniper, GA, great-grandson, Logan Weaver of Mauk, GA, sisters, Mary Seals (Mancel) of TN, Linda Shores, of TN, brothers, Lawrence Ogan, Sr., of Box Springs, GA, Colbia Dalton, Jr. (Charlene) of TN, Thomas Dalton (Sherry) of TN, and numerous nieces and nephews.
