William Thomas Miller

William Thomas Miller, known as Tom to family and friends, passed away in his home on November 14, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, November 21, 2024 at St. Luke Church, 1104 Second Ave. Columbus, GA 31901. The family will have a visitation Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 at McMullen Funeral Home. Lunch will be provided at St. Luke following the service. A private graveside will be held at Emanuel Baptist Church Cemetery in Cataula, GA according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Tom was born January 29, 1944 in Columbus, GA to the late William Thomas Miller, Sr. and Kathleen Taylor Doscher. He was a Certified Public Accountant with AJK, LLC in Columbus, GA.  He was a devoted husband and father with a profound impact on all he met.  His love of Christ was evident in everything he did. Tom exuded the character of his Savior day in and day out with clients, colleagues, friends and family.  A modern day Barnabas-an encourager was he.  He enjoyed tennis, reading, and vacationing at the beach, often commenting that even the ocean wasn’t as big as the Father’s love for us.  Tom leaves behind his soul mate and best friend of 14 years.  Their marriage was filled with joy, kindness, and immense love.  Tom’s laugh, his character, and his pure heart for others will be a loss, but will be his legacy. There are not many men that can come close to Tom’s integrity and enjoyment of life He lived each day to the fullest.

Tom leaves behind his devoted wife, Allison Miller of Midland, GA, daughters: Laura Miller Funke (Keith) of St. Louis, MO, and Heather Miller Amador (Ivan) of Boise ID. sons: William Thomas Miller lll (Marjorie) of Atlanta, GA, William Tyler Ammons and Avery Kyle Ammons both of Columbus, GA, brother: Benjamin Miller (Cindy) of Columbus, GA and Martha Miller Heitman of Sarasota, FL. Eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
