William Rufus Lowman, Jr., 60, of Phenix City, AL, died Wednesday April 5, 2023 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday April 12, 2023 at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3755 S Seale Rd. Phenix City, AL 36869. The family will receive friends following the service at The Kindom Hall, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31904. Interment will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
William was born August 3, 1962 in Phenix City, AL son of the late William Rufus Lowman, Sr. and Sallie Mae Carson Lowman. He loved cutting grass and was an avid outdoors man. William was active with the Wounded Warrior Project and the Jehovah’s Witnesses Field Ministries. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, named Johnny Lowman.
Survivors include his wife of 19½ years of marriage, Sheila Lowman of Phenix City, AL and their son, William Rufus Lowman, III; daughters, Shamire Watson, Shenteria Owens, Quarsha Cochran (Randico), Brittany Fuller (Taraton), Shanrionara Lowman; sisters, Daisy Thomas, Eula Williams, Ingra Baker (Anthony), Dannette Glenn; a host of grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
