William L. Lord, 82, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.
Cryptside services with Masonic Rites will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 25, 2011 at Chapel of The Pines Mausoleum at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Robert Beckum officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Lord was born August 15, 1928 in Hastings, PA son of the late Hobart M. and Subina Lewis Lord. He was a forester for the Civil Service and was a graduate of Penn State. He was a member of the Masonic Mt. Hermon Lodge 304 for over 50 years and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Freyermuth Lord of Columbus, GA, daughter, Karen Lord of Columbus, GA, son, David Lord (Resa) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Meagan Lord of Columbus, GA and Samuel Lord of Columbus, GA, sister, Lois Sievers of Oxen Hill, MD, and several nieces and nephews.
