William W. Kendrick, Sr., 86 of Phenix City, AL died Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House according to Colonial Funeral Home 613 14th Street Phenix City, Al.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P M Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Shady Woods Faith Christian Church with Reverend Michael Greer officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mr. Kendrick was born July 31, 1928 in Eufaula, AL son of the late T. M. Kendrick and Roxann Cutchens Kendrick. He was an electrician with Superior Electric Company for 50 years and retired with Davis Electric. Mr. Kendrick was a member of Shady Woods Faith Christian Church. Other than his parents, Mr. Kendrick was predeceased by his wives, Alice G Kendrick and Flora Joyce Kendrick, a son, William W. Kendrick, Jr. a daughter Rebecca Bedgood, and his brother, Thomas M. Kendrick.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan Funderburk (Larry) of Phenix City, AL; son in law, Charles Bedgood of Braselton, GA; step-children, Brenda Sue Bryant of Anniston, AL; Edward E. Whitehead of Phenix City, AL; Reba C. Burch (Robert) of Fort Dodge, IA; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
