William "Bill" W. Ellison, Jr., 86, of Columbus, GA died Monday, August 20, 2018 at his home.
Cryptside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum at Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Don Wilhite and Rev. Jeff Struecker officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the cemetery.
Mr. Ellison was born July 12, 1932 in Columbus, GA son of the late William W. Ellison, Sr. and Goldie Inez Clegg Ellison. He worked as the Office Manager at Centennial Industries and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Ellison loved to garden and to fish.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Ann" Sweeney Ellison and his 3 sisters.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Gilmer (Rutledge "Rusty") of Box Springs, GA, son, William "Mark" Ellison (Penney) of Hamilton, GA, brother, Jim Ellison of Brunswick, GA, grandchildren, Billie Ann Gordon, Katie Griffith, Matthew Gilmer, Billy Ellison and Corey Ellison, great grandchildren, Gracie Griffith, Ellie Gordon, Noah Griffith, Weatherly Gordon, Drew Gordon and Omarion Griffith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Kindred Hospice 100 Brookstone Centre Parkway Columbus, GA 31904 or to Calvary Baptist Church 7556 Old Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
