William "Dan" Daniel, Jr. 79 of Hamilton, Ga. died Friday at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 30, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Prather officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mr. Daniel was born January 20, 1931 in Ellaville, Ga. son of the late William Winford Daniel and Julia Price Stringfellow. He retired after 36 years as a foreman with Georgia Power Company. He was preceded in death by his brother Wayne Whitton and a sister Bernice Smith.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Janie "Dolly" Daniel of Hamilton, Ga. two daughters Barbara Daniel Titus (Ron) of Waverly Hall, Ga. and Sharon Daniel Morgan (Scott) of Fortson, Ga., one brother Gene Whitton of Cataula, Ga., two sisters Virginia Lott Hutchinson of Cataula, Ga. and Doris Hamrick of Columbus, Ga., two grandsons Dillon Morgan and Hunter Morgan.
