William James Catrett
January 21, 1960 — February 17, 2017
Williams James "Billy" Catrett entered this world on January 21, 1960 and entered heaven on February 17, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Monday, February 20, 2017 at Columbus Hospice 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909. The family will receive friends and have a reception following the service at the Hospice House.
Billy was employed at Flat Rock Sand and Gravel beside his brother and niece. He spent three years in Montana, country he grew to love.
Billy was loved by all who knew him, always a peacemaker. He loved his family and was loved by his family. Billy is preceded in death by his father, William Eugene Catrett.
He is survived by his mother, Sue Donaldson (Ken) of Mauk, GA, brother, Ricky Catrett of Fortson, GA, two sisters, Lynn Davis (Spence) of Fortson, GA and Sandra Catrett of Americus, GA, step-mother, Phyllis Catrett. A favorite aunt and uncle, Judy and Glen Bullard of Box Springs, GA, who served as his primary caregiver during his illness. Uncle, Ronald Hodges (Jan) of Little Rock, AR, Candice Rush, daughter, and grandchildren. A special niece, Tonya Bowie (Canyon) of Columbus, GA, two special nephews, Rich Catrett of Columbus, GA and Gene Davis (Shelby) of Pine Mountain, GA. A host of special cousins and his loyal companion, his dog, Shauna.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Columbus Hospice House www.columbushospice.com or to the American Cancer Society 233 12th St. # 710 Columbus, GA 31901.
