Wayne Charles Day, 64, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at The Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday, May 30, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Andy Merritt and Reverend David Howle officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service according to the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Day was born November 25, 1945 in Columbus, GA son of Myrtle Glisson Day of Columbus, GA and the late Floyd Day. Mr. Day was a Parole Officer for Edgewood Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors other than his mother include his son, W. Charles Day, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Megan of Columbus, GA, two granddaughters, Caroline Emma Day and Sophia Elizabeth Day both of Columbus, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Columbus Women and Childrenâ
