Walter D. Lewandowski, 61, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 8:00
PM at his son's home according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Please dress in your favorite casual clothing of your sport's teams.
Mr. Lewandowski was born January 17, 1957 at Fort Benning, GA. He was the son of the late Stanley Walter Lewandowski and Dorothy Vernon Lewandowski. He attended schools in Columbus and was the owner of Walter's Tire and Auto.
Walter was a very giving, loving, and kind man. His death has left a large gap in all of our hearts. He loved his football (Georgia Bulldogs), NASCAR races, bass fishing, bowling and a number of other activities.
Survivors include his son, Lewis Lewandowski (Jessica); his daughter, Rusti Lynn Lewandowski; his sisters, Mary Lewandowski Bass (Phillip), Deborah Strickland, and Linda Barton and his brother, Anthony Lewandowski; 6 grandchildren, Cayden, Masan, Carson, Angel, Addyson, and Hunter, who were the love of his life and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
