Wallace J. Mulkey, 88, of Cleveland, GA died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at his home.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Jonathan McNesse officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Mulkey was born September 13, 1923 in Abbeville, AL son of the late Jewell E. Money Mulkey and Homer M. Mulkey, Jr. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of the Sheetmetal Local #32 in North Miami Beach, FL and the Local #85 in Atlanta, GA. He was also a Charter Member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Kennedy Mulkey, brothers, Bryant Mulkey and Emmitt Mulkey, and sister, Betty Mulkey.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, David and Diana Mulkey of Cleveland, GA, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
