Von Nixon, 65, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Emory Hospice in Atlanta, GA.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Danny Ryals officiating.
Mr. Nixon was born February 24, 1953 in Marianna, FL son of the late Clifton Dawson Nixon and Delphine Hurst Nixon. He has lived in Columbus since 1976. He loved gospel music and was always doing his book-work.
Survivors include his brother, Craig Nixon (Bobbi) of Smiths, AL, brother-in-law and caregiver, Steve W. Scott of Clarkston, GA, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
