Vivian Williams Knox, 81 of Columbus, GA died Saturday January 3, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 Wednesday January 7, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907 with Reverend Udell Addison officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.
Mrs. Knox was born November 26, 1933 in Columbus, GA to the late Henry Williams and Mary Etta Powell Williams. She was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital from 1980-1995. She was also a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert L. Knox, Sr., three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Ellene Davis (Wendell) of Carrollton, GA, sons, Robert L. Knox, Jr. (Vickie) of Jacksonville, FL and James Michael Knox of Dallas, GA, a brother, Herman Williams (Joyce) of Columbus, GA, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
