Virginia Ruth Johnson, 68, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, March 31, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Edgewood Church of Christ 4102 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Mr. Roger Johnson officiating. Interment will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2016 at Williamson Memory Gardens in Franklin, TN. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mrs. Johnson was born June 3, 1947 in Castlewood, VA daughter of the late Paul G. and Ruth Steffey Grubb. She was a homemaker and a member of Edgewood Church of Christ.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her sister, Vera Markwalter.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Johnson of Columbus, GA, two daughters, Sheri Daniel of Franklin, TN and Stephanie Seward of Thompson Station, TN, two sisters, Vicky Rogers of Evansville, IN and Velma Langford of Fort Mill, SC, and three grandchildren, Britney Seward, Ryan Seward and Faith Daniel.
