Vincye Elon Hayes, 78, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4400 Reese Rd. Columbus, GA 31907. A private interment will be held in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Hayes was born July 1, 1935 in Early County, GA daughter of the late John Wesley Temples and Irma Knight Temples. She was a homemaker.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Earl Hayes and sister; Elsie Edwards.
Survivors include her three daughters; Teresa Pitts, and Reba Cox (Robert) both of Columbus, GA, and Donna Correa (Larry) of North Port, FL, son; Billy Doster (Fanny), Birmingham, AL, step-son; Jeff Hayes (Tammy), Jasper, TN, sister; Laura Thompson, Dallas, GA, brothers; John Temples (Jane), Midland, GA, James Temples, Columbus, GA, George Temples (Priscilla), Griffin, GA, eight grandchildren; Angela Thacker, Joshua Smith, Jennifer Zenrick, Kristina Rumme, John Cox, Felicia and Larry Correa Jr., Jonathan Doster, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
