Victor "Vic" C. White

Victor C. White of Columbus passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 5, 2022.

Please join us in celebrating a life well-lived on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA with Rev. Royce Railey officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Vic was born and raised in Columbus, GA. In his youth, he developed the love of hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors. He met the love of his life, Sue Brown White, when he was a Junior at Hardaway High School. He was the Senior Vice President of Credit Cars overseeing and purchasing of inventory. He later worked as an auto broker for Motormax. He was a man of integrity, strength, and fairness that was ingrained so deeply in his core that everyone felt his generosity and friendship as a treasure all to their own. His work colleagues and friends enriched his life and he treasured each deeply. It was his family that was his joy. His high school sweetheart still held his heart after 47 years of marriage. His “Poopsie” was the light of his life. Vic loved sharing his life with her and raising their three kids. Meghan, Matt, and Mitch knew his love was endless and all encompassing.  His family adored him.

Vic’s greatest joys were his grandchildren and being called Pop. The pride he had watching his kids raise their children was immeasurable. Pop’s gentle embrace was the grandchildren’s favorite place to watch fishing shows or their favorite shows. Regardless, it was his gentle spirit that offered constant love and security. He will be deeply missed and will hold a very special place in all our hearts, always.

Vic is preceded by his parents, Robert H. and Isabell White and his sister, Sandra White.

He leaves a loving legacy to his wife Sue B. White, his children, Meghan Garrett (Kelly), Matt White (Angel) and Mitch White (Robin); grandchildren, Hunter Garrett, Isabell White, Ellie White, Catherine Sue Garrett,  Sadie White and Ace White; brothers, Hugh White (Vicki) and Karl White (Debbie), and many devoted friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Columbus Hospice for their exceptional care of Vic and Go Fish Ministries where Vic shared fishing adventures with his sons and Royce.
