Victoria Miles D'Armond, known affectionately as Vickie to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia, where she was also born on June 22, 1952. A cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Vickie's warmth and creativity touched the lives of all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, March 14, 2025 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhilll Cemetery.
Vickie graduated from Jordan High School in 1970 and dedicated 30 years of service to the Martin Army Hospital, where her kindness and compassion left a lasting impact. Her creative spirit shone brightly through her hobbies, which included tending to her garden, drawing, painting, and enjoying music. Her beloved cat, Bleu, was a constant source of joy and companionship.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Erin Davis and Kelly Bowman (Mike); her adored grandchildren, Grant McQueen, Katelynn Forsyth (Stanton), Colton Joyner, Olivia Joyner, and Peyton Bowman; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Brantley and Sophia McQueen, and Karlee and Wrinlee Forsyth. Vickie will also be fondly remembered by her sisters, Sylvia Haynes (Richard) and Jane Newman, along with many nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart.
Vickie's life was a testament to her creative, loving, and kind nature. Her memory will continue to inspire and be a beacon of love for her family and all who were privileged to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a guiding light in the lives of her loved ones.
