Victor Farrell Sumner, 77 of Phenix City, AL died Friday, March 22, 2013 at his home.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 25, 2013 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Chaplain Dean Knipe officiating.. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Sumner was born April 7, 1935 in Baxley, Georgia son of the late Marvin Sumner and Myrtle Carter Sumner. He was a U. S. Navy veteran. He was retired from Kelloggs as a mixer. He enjoyed making knives, gardening and building things.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy J. Sumner.
Survivors include his daughter, Debra Fiame Leo of Phenix City, AL; son, Wesley Sumner and wife Cathy of Phenix City, AL; granddaughters, Victoria Fiame and Stacey Sumner both of Phenix City, AL; brothers, Gerald Sumner of Columbus, GA, Herman Sumner and wife Fay and Dale Sumner all of Baxley, GA and several nieces and nephews.
