Vicki Young Prophet, 63, of Columbus, GA died Monday, November 03, 2014 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 06, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Prophet was born May 12, 1951 in Columbus, Ga. daughter of the late James Horace and Mary Helen Childs Young. Vicki worked for Woodruff Properties for the past 9 years and was the property manager for Grove Park. She was a graduate of Young Harris College received her Bachelor's Degree from Georgia Southern and a Masters Degree from Columbus State University. Mrs. Prophet was also a member of Kappa Delta Sorority at Georgia Southern.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Samuel Taylor "Sam" Prophet, Jr. of Columbus; one daughter, Caitlin Prophet Wilkins (Kason) of Columbus, Ga; two sons,Whitney "Whit" Prophet of Charleston, S.C. and Cody Young Prophet of Columbus, Ga; and one grandson, Caden Taylor Wilkins of Columbus, Ga.
