A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Columbus Hospice House Community Room 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909 according to McMullen Funeral Home.
Vernon was born May 13, 1971 in Phenix City, AL son of Ralph Bland Riley of Phenix City, AL and Janie Stewart Riley of Columbus, GA. He was a plumber for Bland Plumbing.
Survivors other than his parents include his wife, Sharon Denise Newsome Riley of Phenix City, AL, his brother, Chris Riley (Marcee) of Columbus, GA, paternal grandmother, Mary Williamson of Phenix City, AL, nephew, Brooks Riley of Columbus, GA, uncle, Mike Stewart (Karen), mother and father in-law, Sharon and Eddie Wilson; brother-in-law, Lemuel Newsome (Tara); niece and nephew, Skylar and Vane Newsome; cousins, Keith, Hannah and Hunter Stewart; Tammy, Ray, Issac and Issy Hand; Barbara and Stephen Benoit; Bonnie, Brad and Derrick Catnik; Terri and Joseph Moore and extended cousins The Mitchell Family in St. Augustine, FL.
