Vernon Dale Moffitt, 68, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Sunday, January 8, 2012 at MyChurch 6720 Flat Rock Rd. Midland, GA 31820 according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Moffitt was born October 25, 1943 in Bremerton, WA son of the late Vernon Dale Moffitt, Sr. and Helen Moffitt. He was an E-6 in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Moffitt of Columbus, GA, two daughters, Hope Whittington (Carl) of Jefferson, TX and Mary Miller of Columbus, GA, son, Daniel Moffitt of Alvardo, TX, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
