Verna Hunt Miller Teel

Verna Hunt Miller Teel, 96, of Columbus, GA died peacefully at her home Saturday, March 9, 2013.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeff Struecker officiating. A private interment will be held at Riverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Teel was born August 21, 1916 in Abbeville, AL daughter of the late John L. and Birdie Moring Hunt. She worked at the Bibb Mill and owned BM Laundry and Golden Transfer Company. She later was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with her family. She was always putting others needs before hers.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Phillip A. Teel and Aurthur J. Miller, and her siblings, Irene Brogdon, Louise Richard, Nell Turner, George B. Hunt and sister-in-law, Betty Teel Williams.
Survivors include her son, Aurthur James Miller, Jr. of Hamilton, GA, sister, Johnnie McLemore of Columbus, GA, grandson, Roger Van Miller of Columbus, GA, great grandchildren, Kaylyn Kathlene Miller and Pate Sawyer Miller both of Columbus, GA, nieces, Becky Bynum of Columbus, GA and Patricia Beach of Boca Raton, FL and nephew, John Gresham, Sr. of Columbus, GA.
