Vera Sue Davis, 74 of Phenix City, AL died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment will follow in Girard Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Davis was born March 12, 1939 in Phenix City, AL daughter of the late Charlie Thomas Andrews and Dora L. Turner Andrews. She had worked for Columbus Carpet Mills. She was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed gardening and working Sudoku puzzles.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her ex husband and special friend Godwin Davis; brother, Tommy Andrews and sisters, Sarah Goins, Emmie Boss and Mildred Hall.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Davis; son, Larry Davis; sister, Edith Davis; special nephew, Rex Davis; several nieces and nephews and special friend Bobby Woods.
The family would like to give a special thank you her special caregiver Tywana and the staff of Columbus Hospice.
