U.S. Army (Ret.) MSG Kenneth Wallner, 84, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Columbus Hospice House.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11:30 AM Friday, August 31, 2012 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Chaplain Capt. Todd Wainman officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
MSG Wallner was born August 10, 1928 in Faribault, MN son of the late Fredrick and Lottie Black Wallner. Kenneth was a retired U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Army of Occupation of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Gruber Wallner.
Survivors include his four children, Gunther Wallner (Linda) of Phenix City, AL, Marianna Richardson of Melbourne, FL, Lottie Poole of Columbus, GA and Richard Wallner (Virginia) of Madison, AL, six grandchildren, Ray Wallner of Seale, AL, Jeffery Sallee of Columbus, GA, Jason Sallee of Columbus, GA, Christine McCollum of Melbourne, FL, William Wallner (Autumn) of Madison, AL and David Wallner of Madison, AL, and seven great grandchildren, Courtney and Nicole Richardson of Melbourne, FL, Jordan Sallee, Landon Sallee, Annabelle Sallee and Jalen Justice of Columbus, GA, Hanna Wallner of Seale, AL, and Nicholas Wallner of Birmingham, AL.
