Tommie Ruth Obert, 88, of Columbus died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory at 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mrs. Obert was born September 26, 1929 in Dale County, Alabama daughter of the late Connie Brady and Oleta Andrews Horne. She worked Civil Service at Ft. Benning and was a homemaker most of her life. She loved her church family and gardening in her yard. Mrs. Obert was a long time member of Edgewood Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Charles Willard Obert, daughter, Becky De Iulio of Clemson, S.C., son, Ricky Obert of Montgomery, Al., sisters, Eloise Beard of Dothan, Al., Barbara Paramore of Melbourne, Fl. 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
