Tom Myers

Tom Myers, 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, April 22, 2016, at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church 5122 Pierce Chapel Rd, Midland, GA 31820 with Rev. Howard White and Lynn Meadows White officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Myers was born October 8, 1945, in Valley, Alabama, son of the late Bill and Mabeth Myers. He attended Valley High School, Valley, Alabama, and graduated from Marion Military Institute, Marion, Alabama, in 1964. He attended the United States Air Force Academy and graduated from Auburn University in 1969 in Civil Engineering. He retired from the Federal Highway Administration after a service of 30 years as Division Administrator in Delaware. Mr. Myers was an avid Auburn fan and enjoyed attending Auburn baseball and football games. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his four grandchildren. He was a member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Frazier Myers, daughters Beth Ifantis and husband, John, of Pouler, GA; Sarah Shotwell and husband, Simon, of LaGrange, KY; four grandchildren--Sophie Ifantis, Abigail Shotwell, Betsy Shotwell and Charlie Shotwell; one brother, Frank A. Myers of Arlington, TX; a niece and four nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Pierce Chapel UMC Building by Faith fund, 5122 Pierce Chapel Rd, Midland, GA 31820.
