Timothy Allen Jarvies 57, of Opelika, Alabama passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus in Columbus, Georgia.
A Private Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for family and close friends will be celebrated 11:30 AM Friday, October 02, 2020 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus, Georgia 31907 with Rev. Robert Schlageter, OFM Conv. officiating. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, those attending the services will be required to have a face covering. The service may be viewed through livestream at www.stannecsg.com.
Tim was born on May 2, 1963 in Bamberg, Germany, son of the late Marianne Niquette Lamkin and Richard Cecil Jarives. He was a graduate of Douglas Byrd Senior High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, in Pembroke, North Carolina. He worked at Total Systems Services, TSYS, in Columbus, Georgia for 28 years. Tim loved going on cruises and all things that dealt with computers and technology.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Denise Jarvies, of Opelika, Alabama, sister Sheila Steirer (Richard) of St. Cloud, Florida, brother Frank (Linda) of Hayden, Alabama, and sister Debi Long of Fayetteville, NC, and stepson Chaz Senior of Athen, Georgia. He is also survived by two nieces, Megan Steirer of Birmingham, Alabama, Gillian Steirer Finegan (Brendan) of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and nephew, Lester Long (Deborah) of Norfolk, Virginia.
