Thomas Franklin Lee, 86, of Columbus died Wednesday, February 05, 2014 in Columbus, Ga.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 08, 2014 at Parkhill Cemetery with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. The family will recieve friends immediately following the service at the cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
Mr. Lee was born August 2, 1927 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late John Terell and Elizabeth Grove Lee.
He worked for SunTrust of Georgia in Atlanta and retired as a Loan Officer for Commercial Credit Corporation. He served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of WWII. After the war, he played football for South Georgia College and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He coached Little League baseball, Pee Wee football and was a true sportsman, who loved his fishing, hunting and working his bird dogs. His parents and his brother, John T. Lee, Jr., preceded him in death.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 62 years, Faye Howell Lee; three sons, Dr. Thomas E. Lee (Ginny), Michael C. Lee (Sandra) all of Columbus, Ga., Dr. John W. Lee (Terri) of Cataula, Ga.; one sister, Martha Brock(Joe) of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Dr. Jason Lee (Amanda), Tara Lee Barbee (Mark), Carmen Lee, Anderson Lee, Amy Lee, and Rebecca Lee, two great grandchildren, Maylee Barbee and Wes Barbee all of Columbus, Ga.
