Thomas Wayne Bailey, 79, of Columbus, GA died Friday, November 25, 2022 at Piedmont Northside.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Cornerstone Baptist Church16117 GA 315 Ellerslie, GA 31807. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907
Wayne was born in Rock Mills, AL to the late Fred J. Bailey and Nannie S. Bailey. He graduated from Troup County High School. He retired from AIG insurance after 44 years.
Wayne faithfully attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. He loved his family, his garden, and his day lilies. He also loved football and NASCAR. And he always enjoyed helping others selflessly.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jerome Bailey, sisters, Maxine Breed and Mary Jim Washington and grandson, Evan Brady Oakland.
He is survived by his wife, Syble Olds Bailey, daughters, Vickie Parker (Dan), Angela Oakland, grandchildren, Jordan Graves, Parker Graves, Jackson Oakland, sister, Glynis Perdue (Raymond), many nieces and nephews.
