Thomas W. Adams Jr., 80, of Midland Ga. died Saturday, February 22, 2020 at his residence in Midland Ga.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Vern Jordin officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
Thomas was born December 26, 1939 to the late Thomas W. Adams Sr. and Jewell Barefoot Anderson. Thomas worked at Lummus Industries for over 30 year and later worked for Kysor Warren. He was a former member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church and a longtime member of Second Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He really enjoyed playing industrial and church softball and loved to watch Georgia Football, the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Harold "Pee-Wee" Adams.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Glenda L. Adams of Midland GA, son, David Adams (Laura) of Lawrenceville, GA, daughter, Patricia Allen (Carl) of Box Springs, Ga. and Cynthia Blanco of Columbus, GA, 6 grandchildren, Drew, Caroline(Will), Matt, Timothy, Sarah and Megan.
