Theresa Georgette Melton, 93, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, September 12, 2023 her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday September 27, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held following the visitation at Ft. Moore Main Post Cemetery.
Theresa was born May 6, 1930 in Edmundston, NB, Canada to the late Levite Michaud and Leona Blanchette Michaud. She was Catholic by faith, a loving military wife and mother who kept the family going daily and was “The Sunshine of our lives”.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her ten siblings.
She is survived by her children, Susan Morris of Columbus, GA, Michael Melton of Luthersville, GA, James “Jimmy” Melton (Greg McPherson) of Columbus, GA numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
