Theresa Heeks, 63, of Talbotton, GA died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at her home.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Mr. Justin Gibby officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Heeks was born October 13, 1953 in Providence, RI daughter of the late William Heeks and Mary Barker McBride. She retired from working in retail. She loved to shop at the Dollar Tree and was a Facebook junky. Ms. Heeks loved taking pictures and helping people. She was an avid Alabama fan and was a very giving person.
Survivors include her daughters, Teri Tuttin (Christopher) of Dade City, FL and Sonja Brown (Jason Hallmark) of Huntsville, AL, sisters, Betty Vargas (Bibs) of Bristol, RI and Beverly Miller (Truman) of Talbotton, GA, brothers, William Heeks of Woonsocket, RI, Robert Heeks of North Carolina, Donald Heeks of Pennsylvania and Christopher McBride of Newport, TN, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
