Tessa Nelle Latimer Lloyd,91, of Columbus, Ga. died Monday, October 30, 2017 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 6, 2017 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Doug Fowler officiating. Visitation will follow the services according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907.
Nelle was born November 26, 1925 in Geneva, Alabama the daughter of the late Albert Jackson Latimer and Nelle Richards Latimer. She taught 17 years at River Road Elementary for the Muscogee County School District, was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church of Columbus and she was a Navy Veteran serving in WWII. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Lloyd, Sr.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy L. Sutton and Beverly Kay Lloyd, of Phenix City, Al., sons, James Michael Lloyd of Phenix City, AL., William L. Lloyd of Snellville, Ga., David R. Lloyd of Surry, Va., and several grand and great grandchildren.
