Terry A. Culvey, 62, of Waverly Hall, GA died Sunday, November 22, 2020 at his residence.

Funeral services will be announced  at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Terry was born April 16, 1958 in Plattsburgh, New York to Robert Blair Culvey and Shirley Leahy Rickis and raised by Michael Nihols (Brenda). Terry was a senior manager for Cognizant Consultants. He was a self-made man of integrity, resilience, optimism, and success. He was an exemplary father/ grandfather and all around good human. Every life he touched made better for having known him.  He was a jack of all trades and regular “MacGyver” to those who knew him well. This carried over into his love and time spent with his family, he took great pride in his engineering, building, and mechanical accomplishments. He also loved  fishing, tinkering in his shop, and cycling.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Christine Culvey of Waverly Hall, GA, daughter, Crystal MacDonald (Collin) of Hampstead, NH, son, Michael Culvey (Mary) of Coventry, CT, brother, Robert Culvey of Rockville, CT, 4 grandchildren, Taylor MacDonald, Avery MacDonald, Charlotte Culvey and Andrew Culvey.

“Leave the world a better place than you found it.” He did.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to a leukemia research foundation of choice in honor of his father, Michael Nichols.
