Sylvia Greer Burgess, 77, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Four County Nursing Home in Richland, GA.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Sylvia was born March 5, 1941 in Tift County, GA daughter of the late Clarence and Maybird Willis Greer. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved everyone.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Garner and Martha Ruth Padgett.
Survivors include her husband, Grady Burgess, son, Michael Burgess (Joni), granddaughter, Olivia Burgess all of Columbus, GA, sister, Otha Rowe of Tifton, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Easter Seals of Columbus 2515 Double Churches Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
